sleep and consciousness battle
flameless candle of control
leaving me to wonder
where crazy lives
ponders and
plays
does
absurd board
a bus to sensibility
others searching maps
missing by fleeting minutes
opportunity for the unexpected

As a recovering control freak, I am discovering the wonder of serendipity. Your poem is a sweet reminder.
April 22nd, 2010 at 7:32 pm
Oh don’t I know that one! Surrender is sweet.

Fleeting fast yet empty cup drip
Cast horizontal on vertical horizon zenith
My sun was caught sleeping on the moon
Opening the shower flower blooms controlled by my efforts to grow
Happy? When is the defiant wonder ever fleeting?
Fast
Yet
Fulfilled
Drip drip drip…

April 23rd, 2010 at 5:19 am
I’ve ridden the bus off and on since I can remember. I’d do it now if it wouldn’t take me 5 hours to get to work, lol! There is usually a schitzophrenic talking to themselves in the front seat…sad, but also sometimes amusing on a quiet ride.
Kudos to you for helping the environment!
Hugs and hope the week is going well,
Marie

flameless candle — I could live on that image and water alone for a good 2 weeks!! 🙂

Hey Jaymie – been a while. I can’t keep up these days… and know I’m not alone. This poem was great.. captured my mood.
Loved the idea of “absurdity boarding a a bus to sensibility”. =) I think I missed the sensibility bus again… (and again… and again…)
