a window with a broken seal
me caught between the glass
looking in, then peering out
sweat rolling down the pane
polishing up the outside
the fog will still remain
running hot, cold, humid
a window with a broken seal
me caught between the glass
looking in, then peering out
sweat rolling down the pane
polishing up the outside
the fog will still remain
running hot, cold, humid

Beautiful !
March 13th, 2010 at 10:54 pm
Sometimes you have to wait for things to crack. 😉
March 12th, 2010 at 4:27 am
nice, but not where i would want to be trapped…
March 13th, 2010 at 10:55 pm
I know, tight fit. lol
March 12th, 2010 at 5:35 am
Oppression of our own doing? How did we get there? How do we get out?
The moist heat envelopes comforting and uncomfortable. I can really relate to this today. I’m in a tight spot myself.
March 13th, 2010 at 10:55 pm
I always seem to have a hand in…even if I don’t realize it at first.
March 12th, 2010 at 7:04 am
to be in this paradoxical position…but once free, it feels amazing!

Thank you J! You are always so kind and gratious. 🙂
March 12th, 2010 at 11:37 am
Another awesome, evocative piece, Jaymie.
March 17th, 2010 at 8:31 am
Darn job hunting limbo has me squeezed between the panes! 😉
March 12th, 2010 at 1:03 pm
Wow. Stuck between 2 worlds. What a scary place to be. This has a lot of punch, Jaymie. Good job!
March 17th, 2010 at 8:31 am
It is scary. I hope I get out soon! 🙂
March 12th, 2010 at 3:49 pm
Love it, Jaymie…
I actually HATE it when there’s stuff between the window panes, and you just… can’t… quite.. get to it!
I guess, sometimes, we just have to take it all apart… spend some times… un-trap that fly… or ourselves. Let things out.. or in… Not just scratch the surface… with a quick-wipe. 😉
March 17th, 2010 at 8:32 am
You’re right…a quick-wipe won’t fix this one. 😉
March 12th, 2010 at 10:12 pm
You have such great talent, a real gift.

Good to see you writing again. 🙂 I missed you! Be sure to fight off all those things in life that do not need to be in your world! 🙂
March 17th, 2010 at 8:38 am
I need to get back to daily writing. It is good for me. I am working on a remedy. 🙂 Priorities, you are so right Luisa!

I have spent hours catching up today. It feels good to see everyone’s work. 🙂
March 15th, 2010 at 12:10 am
That is ‘way cool! We have a few windows with broken seals in our house. I will think of your poem when I see them!
And… a bit of news what’s up in my sphere…
I’m excited about this week, and all the upcoming give-ways on my blog — including 7 poetry books by Billy Collins and 7 of my cds, (of songs I wrote.) I am giving things to spread some happiness around. Come on over!!
xo
March 17th, 2010 at 8:51 am
I’m not really sure how the give-ways work but I sure had fun leaving some of my history in your comments. 🙂
March 15th, 2010 at 4:14 am

Thank you Sandra.
March 15th, 2010 at 9:04 am
Impressive that you can say so much in only a few short lines. I am still trying to find such a talent for myself.
March 17th, 2010 at 9:11 am
Funny too because I can be long-winded in person. lol
March 15th, 2010 at 9:42 pm
I enjoy reading your words, letting the imagery sink in, waiting for the murky water to settle revealing something gold and glinting in the muck and mud. And I am never disappointed Jaymie. Your poetry is so multi-dimensional.
March 17th, 2010 at 9:13 am
Wow, thank you. I write to deal with my own murky waters. Sometimes it works.
March 16th, 2010 at 3:30 am

March 17th, 2010 at 9:17 am
I don’t know if I will ever learn to be comfortable with limbo. Perhaps we are not meant to be?
March 17th, 2010 at 6:53 am
I’ve been there!
March 17th, 2010 at 9:17 am
Still trying to shake it loose here.
March 17th, 2010 at 7:21 am
I’ve seen small bugs trapped like this, and I feel helpless because there’s no way for me to save them. Metaphor? Probably. Or maybe I’m just one of those crazy animal people who never squashes an insect.
March 17th, 2010 at 9:18 am
I’m a fan of trying not to squash. Just seems like a better way.
March 17th, 2010 at 8:09 am
Happy Wednesday!
