Thanks Steve. I was inspired by Calliope’s Pen to try a cinquain. I’ve got my puppy Leroy right next to me now – he loves to cuddle up when I am at the keyboard. Have a great week Steve!
what does ‘cinquain’ mean
leaving here i’ll go google
gifter of new words!
I’m guessing it’s that type of poem? That makes a design? Like the diamond of Your weekend poem because it held as much value to You as a diamond would to another?
i used to have a friend who used to teach these on a poetry post. she always tried to convince me to write them because of my brevity. they are certainly a step above hi-koos and i’d rather read these. yet i never really tried to write them myself,
Reading some of the comments, I figured out what Cinquain is… I appreciate what you wrote even more now! What a neat idea… and how true your words are to a working girl still trying to get caught up on commenting (see, I’m not really stalking you, lol).

*Sigh* How true. Even if I don’t have a good reason to hate short weekends and Monday right now.

It’s weird…on weekdays folks keep looking to their watch, on the weekend they glance at the sky. Seems to put a different spin on everything.

Time is ever fleeting – but it seems more fleeting on weekends somehow. Good job on this.

I like to try new things once in a while. I think your readers are content with things just as they are Charles.

I’m not sure which I like more–the poem itself or your comment back to Darc. Both are awesome.
